Direct Cremations

A direct cremation is a lower cost alternative to a traditional funeral and involves an unattended funeral at a crematorium, meaning no mourners are present. Despite this being a lower cost option, at F H Halliday & Son rest assured the same level of care is provided in all areas. Unlike many funeral directors and direct cremation operators, we do not take the deceased far away and we continue to use local crematoriums because we believe this is in the best interest of your loved one and family.

Following the cremation we will collect the ashes for you, bring them back to Portishead and await your further instructions.
