Gordano Oak

A classic Oak coffin crafted from a wooden foil and finished in a shiny lacquer. The Oak affect Is lighter in colour than the Elm. This coffin comes fitted with brass effect handles. Materials are from a FSC forest.

Somerton Elm

A classic Elm coffin crafted from a wooden foil and finished in a shiny lacquer. The Elm affect is darker in colour than the Oak. This coffin comes fitted with brass effect handles. Materials are from a FSC forest.

Windsor Oak Finish

Our Windsor Oak Is crafted from an Oak foil similar to the Gordano Oak but this time with panelled sides and a raised lid. This coffin comes fitted with Brampton brass effect handles. Materials are from a FSC forest.

Clifton Solid Oak

The Clifton Solid Oak coffin is high quality full solid Oak coffin, crafted with routed panel sides. The coffin comes fitted with Brampton brass effect handles and finished with a shiny lacquered surface. There is also an option to have other handles for this coffin. Materials are from a FSC forest.

Mahogany

A Traditional Solid Mahogany finished with a wax surface. The Mahogany has a much darker finisher over the Oak and Elms. This coffin comes fitted with brass effect handles. Materials are from a FSC forest.

Somerset Willows Range

Somerset willow coffins are one of our partners who we work with. They are a natural alternative to traditional options, helping to evolve the celebration of life. Each willow coffin is made entirely by hand, using traditional techniques which have remained unchanged for generations. The willow is environmentally considerate to the earth, yet beautiful when woven. Below are a few examples of their coffins. They can be individually personalised with the colours shown.

Somerset Willow Rounded Shape

This example of a Somerset Willow, also known to be called a Wicker coffin, comes with a double tapered curved end. This example is plain with no colouring. All Somerset Willows are hand crafted using locally grown Willow from the Somerset Levels.

This example of a Somerset Willow, also known to be called a Wicker coffin, comes with a more traditional square shape. This example is plain with no colouring. All Somerset Willows are hand crafted using locally grown Willow from the Somerset Levels.

Other Coffin Styles

Woollen

Made in Yorkshire using a new pure wool, supported on a strong recycled cardboard frame. The interior is generously lined with organic cotton and has a waterproof base which is biodegradable.

Pandanus Rounded Shape

Similar to the wickers and somerset willow, the pandanus has curved tapered coffins. The pandanus is crafted from banana leaf and has a slightly thicker weave over the willow.

Colourful coffins are very much a personal tribute. They consist of being covered in an existing design like the one in the image or personalized to people wishes. This can be done using pictures of hobbies, interest, or family photos. Please contact us for more help.

American Casket 1

We can provide various metal and wooden caskets such as the image shown. These included a hinged lid and a squarer shaped. These caskets come fitted with a fully lined interior which can be customizable. These are a more unique option and will have to be ordered in. Please contact us for more information.

Modern Oak

This coffin consists of a slightly modern streamline twist on the traditional oak coffin. It comes in a beautiful pale natural finish and has a visible grain. It also comes fitted with wooded handles matching the oak finish.

Ashes Caskets and Urns

F H Halliday And Son will collect ashes from any crematorium and bring them back into our care. If you wish to have a burial or scattering of ashes, we will also assist you with this.
